Our Assistant Managers support our General Managers in all aspects of running the restaurants and ensuring our teams have everything they need to make sure our Proper Burgers, Sides & Shakes are served with love, time and time again to our hungry fanbase. Our Assistant Managers are at the beginning of their management careers and learning all about the leadership skills they'll need to develop to be a General Manager of the future.
As an Assistant Manager at Byron Burgers, you'll play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our restaurant. Working closely with the General Manager, you'll ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the restaurant, from delivering outstanding guest service to managing staff and maintaining high standards of food quality and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and stock management.
Lead by example and provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that guests receive a warm welcome and have an enjoyable dining experience.
Train, motivate, and mentor team members to uphold Byron's standards of excellence in food quality, service, and cleanliness.
Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure that all dishes meet our exacting standards and comply with food safety regulations.
Handle customer enquiries, comments, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
Work with the General Manager to implement marketing and promotional initiatives to drive sales and increase foot traffic.
Assist in conducting regular staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and performance expectations.
Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Strong organisational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Benefits:
A basic salary up to £30,000 + TRONC (averaging around £5,000 per year),
