We are currently seeking a dedicated Graduate Math Specialist Teaching Assistant to join the team at a reputable Secondary School located in Barnet. This is a full-time position starting in September 2023 for the entire academic year.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Math department in delivering high-quality lessons and supporting students in their learning journey.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance in Mathematics.
Help create and implement engaging and interactive learning activities that cater to students' diverse needs.
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering a love for Mathematics among students.
Collaborate with the teaching staff to contribute to the development and improvement of the Math curriculum.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field (minimum 2:1 classification).
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Previous experience working with secondary school students is desirable but not essential.
A patient and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to help students overcome their challenges.
