Reporting to the Customer Orders Design Supervisor, the Design Engineer will provide bespoke designs for non-standard applications.
Duties of the Design Engineer include:
Modification of standard components to suit non-standard equipment
Bespoke design for non-standard applications and equipment
Design of special test equipment to suit specific applications
Creation of new stock codes and special bills of materials
Daily liaison with internal and external customers
Daily liaison with workshops and inspection departments on engineering issues for both standard and special component; solving problems and agreeing on concessions
Assisting the Technical department with special enquiries
Assisting the assembly team on testing issues for standard and special components
We would be keen to speak with Design Engineers with the following skills:
Degree Qualified
CAD Literate
Good attention to detail
Previous experience within a similar industry
