As a member of the Development Operations Team, you will report to the Development Operations Director. The role will be primarily involved in Project Delivery , ranging from 1- or 2-day projects to full system implementations and includes to following:
Gathering technical requirements and documenting specifications for implementation of projects.
Project management of small to medium size projects, identifying change control requests and project risks.
System development, configuration, testing, training and documentation are required in the delivery of a project.
On-site delivery of projects when required.
Identify and mark new functionality for checking into core software releases.
Document standard operating procedures for new project functionality to assist in the process of handover to customer sites and to the Customer Support team.
Work with customer services to ensure the successful handover of projects to the Customer Support team:
Assist the Customer Support team with second-level support queries.
Develop and check in new code modifications into customer repositories adhering to defined processes.
Ad-hoc technical requests.
CORE SKILLS
3 years working with Progress OpenEdge (Hands-on development is preferred but not required).
Project delivery experience.
Knowledge of Supply Chain, Warehouse and Logistics processes.
Experience in the following areas would also be advantageous:
Crystal Reporting.
Web service integrations.
ǪlikView & Ǫlik Sense.
Angular.

Work dynamic: Our client has offices in Dublin Birmingham and Manchester and candidates may work in a hybrid type role where they will predominantly work from home but will need to travel to offices as required (approximately once or twice monthly). You may also be required to work at customer sites located across the UK and Ireland.
