We are proudly representing our manufacturing client, based in Newcastle, who are looking for a new Purchasing Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. Working as part of their Purchasing department, you will support the team in the delivery of its tactical and transaction work streams. The Job You’ll Do;
Updating the purchasing database
Ensuring on time delivery of products
General administration duties
Purchase goods, materials, components or services
Monitor inventory levels and safety stock using numerous reports.
Liaising with the finance department to resolve invoice queries quickly.
Liaising with stores/dispatch departments for cost or delivery variants.
Keep Sage system (MRP) up to date with regular checks to ensure correct information is available at all times
About You;
Must be experienced within a similar role, ideally in the manufacturing industry
Strong admin and competent IT skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to communicate and liaise with suppliers and partners via telephone or otherwise
