Job summary
This role will be part of the Infrastructure Team but will be heavily focused on supporting Network and Telephone Systems. However, a wide range of skills in other areas of Infrastructure will be required. The Team is responsible for developing and supporting the IT Infrastructure of both Metroline, and Comfort Delgro United Kingdom and Ireland group owned Companies.
The role will be based at our Office in Beeston, Nottingham. However, cover and exposure to the head office in Cricklewood will be required from time to time. There will be a requirement to travel to other Company offices or associated company locations.
Main Responsibilities
Responsible for converged networks and ensuring the stability, availability, and integrity of the Organisations voice, data, video, and wireless network services.
Provision of day-to-day support to the Infrastructure Head / Team and project managers, to assist in delivery, design, and development.
Maintain effective & efficient infrastructure services used for the delivery of IT solutions across all areas of the business.
Provide 3rd line support for fault resolution.
Designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting highly available diverse network, voice and security architectures
Produce and Maintain documentation and network diagrams related to all systems developed/deployed and to improve the support operations.
Configure and install various network devices and services in line with IT security policy.
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including, vulnerability fixes/updates/patches and security configurations.
Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
Maintain regular relationships and escalate and work with vendors.
Liaise with project management teams, third-line engineers, and service desk engineers on a regular basis.
Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team.

Essential Criteria
Proficient level knowledge of networking design and documentation (HLD/LLD)
A subject matter expert for network architecture and represent network architecture internally and externally.
Excellent network troubleshooting skills. Must be able to quickly identify and resolve network related issues in smallest possible time.
Advanced level knowledge of Routing and Switching (e.g., CCNP or CCIE level/certified)
Experience with WAN circuits and solutions (e.g., MPLS, SDWAN, and VPNs)
Configuring/Troubleshooting Cisco ASA, IPS, Cisco ISE, Wireless, Cisco AnyConnect, Routing protocols – OSPF, BGP, LAN Switching – VLAN, VTP, STP, EtherChannel, CUCM, Meraki AP
Experience building, designing, securing and supporting LANs/WANs
Experience of configuration and designing solutions within the Cisco UCM platform.
Good working knowledge of ITIL processes
Competencies & Skills
Cisco CCNA Certification or Similar.
VMWare, Citrix, Cisco, Storage Technologies, Cisco, or similar Technologies
Experience of integrating and consolidating other Businesses into the Environment.
Demonstrate a strong 'can do' attitude and willingness to progress.
Good team player with the ability to work on their own initiative.
Well-rounded knowledge of network security, network management tools, and network automation
Expected to deal with clients at all levels and backgrounds by phone, email, and in person.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong working relationships.
Able to explain technical concepts and procedures to non-technical users.
Proactive and meet agreed SLA’s and project timelines and budgets.
Strengths in logical analysis, ability to think creatively to deliver solutions.

ITIL/Change management or similar process experience
Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate clearly and at all levels.
