Client Details
This is a well-established business based in Oxford. As the Commercial Accountant you must have exceptional analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. You will report into the Senior Financial & Planning Manager and be responsible for owning Balance sheet & P&L reporting, preparation of monthly management accounts including accruals & prepayments.
Description
Commercial Accountant responsibilities:
Ownership of Balance sheet & P&L reporting
Monthly review of aged debtors and creditors
Maintenance and updating of Fixed Asset Register including monthly depreciation calculations
Preparation of monthly management accounts including accruals & prepayments
Ensure that revenue is recorded accurately & reported to ensure billing is up to date
Ensure Sales invoices are raised
Ensure refunds are processed on a weekly basis with AP
Process payroll journals from external payroll provider & reconcile PAYE control
Assist Senior Manager with the preparation of the cost budgets
Ensure proposed capital spend is approved in line with procedure & budget
Profile
A successful Commercial Accountant should have:
Part Qualified CIMA / ACCA or other relevant experience
Highly analytical with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and external parties
Ability to work effectively under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
Competent using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
