This senior sales role within FOOD is based in HARLOW, UK. The role is very autonomous and you will be talking to existing clients (all supermarkets and retailers ) and new clients and introduce them to new products. Work style : This is a hybrid role with travel involved (expected 3 weeks a month)
Essential background : Food sector. Sales/Business development experience.
Company details : This is a well-established food import/export business that specialises in importing specialists food products from Asia and supplies supermarkets and restaurants. The company has gone through a recent explosion in growth as a result of the increased interest in home-cooking that started during Covid. People are now experimenting with new flavours and new dishes and this company has been able to expand strongly in order to accommodate increasingly sophisticated and international dishes. In this role you develop new business within retail or hospitality clients . there is a sales admin support team that will help with fulfilment
The role:
1) sales and business development
2) Sales negotiation & travel to see customers
Duties
Sales & new business development
Looking after a mix of existing and new key retail & restaurant clients including a portfolio of supermarkets
Work with the product development team to introduce new products and expand the product portfolio
Oversee the food product portfolio and optimize the sales revenue
Ensure that the portfolio is achieving its sales targets
Manage the P+L for your portfolio
Manage the sales forecast, prepare the monthly sales report and analysis
Drive the retail sell in / sell out, grow the market share
Be creative and innovate with Marketing to boost the sales revenue and enhance the customers’ awareness
Devise promotions and measure results
Make sure clients always have sufficient inventory
Requirements
Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)
Willing to travel within EU frequently (3 weeks a month is expected)
Fluent in another EU languages (German or French is highly preferred but other language is welcome)
Previous B2B sales experience in Food
Car driver is essential (you will visit customers)
