As a service provider, RES has the skills and experience in asset management, operations and maintenance (O&M), and spare parts – supporting 41GW of renewable assets across 1,300 sites.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Battery Energy Storage Systems Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting energy storage systems at various sites throughout the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission, and maintain energy storage systems at customer sites

Troubleshoot and repair system issues as needed

Perform regular preventative maintenance on energy storage systems, this includes preventive tasks of the main elements in the facility: Inverters, MV Transformers, Switchgears, Cabins, Substation, PPC and batteries. May also have to perform preventives tasks in other elements, such as, Warehouse, Fences, Surveillance System, Roads and Gates.

Work with project managers to ensure that installation and maintenance schedules are met

Provide technical support and training to customers and local team

Keep accurate and detailed records of system performance and maintenance activities

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations

Work collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

Compiling reports, check list or other documents of corrective/preventative maintenances

Management of the SCADA to download data, monitor problems and trace any troubleshooting done on site.

Use schematics, line diagrams, blueprints, manuals, check lists, health and safety procedures and work instructions to check the different elements of the facility.

Carry out any other tasks delegated by the company

Maintain adherence to Company policies, environmental health and safety policies and good housekeeping practices. Identifies gaps in safety standards as well as safety risks in the environment and provides recommendations to higher level technical staff and management.

Manage filed team with preventives and correctives maintenances. Checking reporting from field technicians.

Control and monitor of BESS project performances.

Mobility and flexibility are required to attend the projects.

Job Requirements

Studies and experience in electrical, electronic, renewables energies or related field.

Knowledge of inverters technology.

Prior experience in tech support, desktop support, or a similar role.

Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk software.

Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Good written and verbal communication.

Strong technical skills and understanding of energy storage systems and their components

Ability to troubleshoot and repair system issues

Strong communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Clean driving license and willingness to travel throughout UK and Ireland to Ingeteam O&M and commissioning sites.
