The Company Finance Business Partner - Hybrid Working - On Site Parking - Newcastle City Centre Nigel Wright are thrilled to be supporting a reputable high growth organisation in their search for a Finance Business Partner. This Finance Business Partner role is a newly created role due to continued growth within the business. Joining a strong existing team with a wealth of knowledge, the successful candidate will be responsible for business partnering with the retail division, providing key insight into operational performance to non-finance colleagues. The Role The Finance Business Partner's duties will include: Set annual budgets in conjunction with budget holders
Prepare monthly management accounts including detailed and accurate variance analysis and commentary
Prepare weekly sales reports and individual monthly reports to budget holders and senior stakeholders
Work closely with relevant budget holders to provide analysis and deliver insight
Ownership of the Fixed Asset register, including fixed asset accounting and analysis;
Responsible for the tracking of any capital projects
Provide regular stock sell information to senior stakeholders through reporting
Accurately account for slow moving and obsolete stock
Act as Finance lead during stock take, attending stock takes and performing spot counts as required;
Responsible for cash and card sales to payment reconciliation;
Preparation/validation of quarterly VAT return
Ownership of the financial aspects/terms of the licensee and royalty process
Act as Finance lead supporting any projects
Liaise with external auditors as required
The Benefits The benefits for the Finance Business partner role include: £40,000 to £45,000 depending on experience and level of qualification
35 hour week

The Person The requirements for the Finance Business Partner role are: Qualified/part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant. AAT qualified/qualified by experience may be considered
Experience of working in Finance within the Retail sector;
Good working knowledge of Retail VAT accounting;
Experience in a Management Accounting or Finance Business Partner role
Strong communication skills with the ability to advise and influence senior operational business leaders;
Ability to effectively summarise and interpret data;
Strong Microsoft excel skills;
Experienced in financial performance reporting.
