What you’ll be doing
Responsible for preparation of Electrical Protection and Control Drawing packages to support SP Energy Networks engineering solutions for Transmission Network Projects (132kv and above).
Provide advice, innovation and effective technical support to other members of the project team to assist in the engineering solutions / designs throughout the Transmission Network project lifecycle.
Responsible for ensuring all team members to perform their duties with a strong emphasis on health, safety, quality and environment compliance and continuous improvement.
Contribute to the gathering of relevant information to enable the production of accurate drawings.
Work to and maintain externally audited QA systems.
Contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of drawing office databases.
Responsible for the completion of as-built drawing packages in a timeously manner (as allocated by Drawing Office Manager/ Senior Engineer).
Contribute to the maintenance an auditable design/design change system to facilitate the accreditation of BS EN ISO 19650.
Perform all duties with a strong emphasis on health, safety, quality and environment compliance and continuous improvement.
Responsible for assessment of basic and detailed engineering drawings prepared by other drawing office team members.
Responsible for providing guidance and support to other drawing office team members.
What you’ll bring
Proficiency in generating Electrical Protection and Control drawing packages required to support Transmission Network Projects (132kv and above).
Ability to investigate and comprehend detailed Electrical Protection and Control drawing packages.
Knowledge of engineering design / health & safety requirements to support Transmission Network Projects (132kv and above).
Be a proficient user of the following products (AutoCAD, Autodesk Raster CAD, Autodesk Vault, Project Wise, MS Office suite, BIM360, and Autodesk Construction Cloud)
Proven track record of collaborating with team members to accomplish team objectives.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate as minimum
Possession of HNC in Electrical Engineering.
Current working experience in engineering drawing office, producing Electrical Protection and Control drawing packages to support Transmission Network Projects (132kv and above).
Proficient in the use of the following software products (AutoCAD, Autodesk Raster CAD, Autodesk Vault, Project Wise, MS Office suite, BIM360, and Autodesk Construction Cloud)
Proficiency in adhering to Electrical Drawing Standards / health & safety requirements and compliance in Electrical Drawing and Model production.
Documented experience in a BIM project environment (would be advantageous)
Valid UK driving Licence
