Our client a leading, growing distribution company to retail, online retailers and resellers, they are seeking a driven, compassionate Account Manager to help grow and stretch accounts.
Working directly with the Sales Director, you will be experienced sales account manager to support the growing customer base, deal with new enquiries to generate new business and pipeline/portfolio development. The role includes general administration in line with customer sales transactions and a strong sales and account management focus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a portfolio of existing customers - stretch and grow where possible
Identify, develop and grow new customer accounts
Reach out to warm enquiries
Ensure customers receive excellent customer service
Handle inbound enquiries from existing customers
Negotiate pricing and raise sales orders
Convert new customers
Contact prospective customers to promote products
Revive dormant customer accounts
KEY SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience in Account Management and Business Development
Self-motivated and driven
Excellent telephone manner
Focus on ensuring the customer is happy
Able to work in a fast paced environment
Computer literate – MS Office (intermediate Excel) / knowledge of CRM platforms
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Trade or technical experience is preferred but not mandatory – training will be provided
Strong negotiation skills
