About The Client:
Yoh! Are proud to be working with a leading electronics company based in Loughborough, specializing in high-technology product development and low-to-medium volume manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop electronic circuits (analog and digital), including microcontroller development and embedded firmware development (C).
Create schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout using Altium Designer or equivalent software.
Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure designs meet specifications.
Produce technical and assembly drawings of PCBAs and mechanical sub-assemblies.
Prototype construction and testing, specification of test and manufacturing procedures for new products.
Key Requirements and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electronics.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial electronics design and development.
Proficiency in microcontroller development (ARM, PIC, etc.) and embedded firmware development (C).
Strong knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer or equivalent.
Experience liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure designs meet specifications.
Proficient in prototype construction, testing, and specification of test and manufacturing procedures.
Desirable: Experience with embedded development using RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr OS), nRF or STM32 Microcontrollers, computer programming/scripting (e.g., C#, Java, Python), Altium Designer, and designing for EMC and electrical safety.
