Burness Paull have a rich history of supporting junior talent join the business through Modern Apprenticeships with routes of progression. A new administration apprenticeship has become available in their Edinburgh office. This role will be support their Front of House team to ensure the provision of 5* professional service.
The Reception Admin Apprentice position will be paired with a Business Administration Apprenticeship, delivered by QA Ltd.
Responsibilities:
Meet and greet clients and notify the Burness Paull contact of their arrival
Answer all calls in a friendly and professional manner
Arrange travel and accommodation requirements in compliance with travel and expense policies
Issue and manage stock train tickets for travel between Glasgow and Edinburgh offices
Co-ordinate the meeting room diary ensuring all requirements for meeting/seminars/lunches/functions are noted and communicated
Assisting in arranging events/seminars to include equipment hire, ordering of supplies, assist with meet and greet for larger scale events
Organise and maintain the provision of refreshments
Assist with the ordering and coordinating of food for both internal and external events including ad-hoc company corporate events
Required skills:
Can-do attitude and happy to work as part of a busy team
Great communication skills are key for working with both Burness Paull colleagues and clients
High level of attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Present a professional image and demonstrate excellent customer service skills
Salary:
£21,840 per annum
Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 10am – 6pm

You can earn up to 30% of your annual salary in bonuses: the firm wide bonus scheme pays up to 10% of annual salary to all employees if the firm exceeds its profit targets and you can be awarded a bonus of up to 20% of annual salary if your performance is considered to be exceptional
Future prospects:
There are multiple routes for internal progression which will be considered at an appropriate time with your line manager; routes could include moving into the Office or Central Administration teams, Trainee PA or Legal PA
