Management Accountant - Part time

Pure are currently recruiting a part time Management Accountant on behalf of a growing business based in central Cambridge. This position will be for 30 hours a week and you will have flexibility on how the hours are worked, this can be 4 full days or 5 days with reduced hours. This position has come up due to an internal promotion and business growth, it is an exciting time for the business while sales increase and they look to acquire a new business in the coming months. This is a broad role and you will need to be comfortable working on both the financial accounts and with management accounts and supporting commercial decision making. Working with the Finance Manager you will be responsible for the following duties - - Lead the preparation of the management accounts within a 7 day working day completion deadline which will include preparing and agreeing balance sheets recs, populating the monthly management accounts pack, comparing actuals against budget/forecast for the P&L. -  Liaise with department heads on monthly to discuss variances- Sales and stock reporting - Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting- Supervise and work with the Accounts Assistant who is responsible for sales ledger and purchase ledger, bank recs and basic journals. - Produce the quarterly VAT return- Work with the external Accountants to assist in the preparation on annual financial statements. You will ideally be ACCA or CIMA qualified however part qualified or qualified by experienced is also accepted for this role, it is essential that you have proven experience in the above duties and be comfortable working in a small team where your role will be varied. Strong excel skills are also essential for this role. The salary for this position is up to £55,000 per annum FTE with a profit share bonus scheme, pension, private healthcare and enhanced maternity and paternity pay. If you would like to hear more about this position please call Kathryn at Pure Cambridge or apply below.
