Grounds Person
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Grounds Person to join a leading organisation based in Newtownabbey.
Job Role:
You will be responsible to the Grounds Supervisor to assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the Grounds facilities.
Essential Criteria:
Minimum of 1 years’ experience in the maintenance of grounds and gardens primarily in a non-domestic role.
Basic numeracy and literacy skills, as evidenced by qualification.
Experience in the operation and routine maintenance of ride on, and push mowers and other handheld pedestrian guided horticultural machinery.
Experience of working with and identification of tree, shrubs and bedding plants.
Experience of driving and operating a tractor and a range of mounted or trailed implements.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
Good understanding and knowledge of health and safety issues in the horticulture sector.
Ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative.
Full current driving licence and willingness to travel between sites and work out of normal working hours to deal with emergencies and breakdowns.
