About Us: Located in the vibrant community of South Liverpool, our primary school is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every child can succeed. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with SEN pupils, supporting their individual needs and facilitating their access to learning opportunities.

Position Overview: We are looking for a motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our team and provide tailored support to SEN pupils on a 1:1 basis. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a crucial role in helping our pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Work 1:1 with SEN pupils, providing personalised support and assistance to help them access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.

Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials to meet the specific needs of each pupil.

Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including but not limited to autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where SEN pupils feel supported, valued, and empowered to succeed.

Assist with the development of social and emotional skills, helping pupils to build confidence, resilience, and independence.

Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents/carers to support ongoing development and attainment.

Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role, ideally with experience working with SEN pupils.

Understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support pupils with a range of special educational needs.

Compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with SEN pupils and support their social and emotional development.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents/carers, and external professionals.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.

Dedication to upholding high standards of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all aspects of your work.
