IT Infrastructure Manager
Join a dynamic team with a Specialty Insurance client! We're on the lookout for an IT Infrastructure Manager who can spearhead their existing Infrastructure team, ensuring a seamless resolution of technical challenges.
In this role, you'll be at the helm of innovation, crafting cutting-edge technology designs to elevate the company's Infrastructure and Cloud services to new heights. You will ensure impeccable service availability while nurturing and maintaining our Development and Test systems, all while keeping them perfectly synchronized with production.
You will be responsible for:
Leading and delivering technology designs to enhance the company’s Infrastructure and Cloud services
Managing and supporting the infrastructure platforms providing excellent service availability
Maintaining the Development and Test systems, ensuring they are kept in sync with production
Managing the deployment of application/system changes in accordance with the change management process
Documenting all new technical fixes in the Service Desk tool and update departmental documentation and procedures enabling the sharing of knowledge to peers and colleagues
Ensuring all Infrastructure items are kept up to date with all necessary software patches and updates
Assisting with any software release deployments
Monitoring and development of platform system health and the implementation of effective disaster recovery
Experience that you will need:
You must have strong Azure cloud experience and Microsoft active directory knowledge
You need knowledge of Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems
An understanding of PowerShell scripting, process automation.
A good understanding of networking principles as applied to LAN, WAN and Cloud configurations.
Knowledge of VMware Virtual server and SAN technologies
An IT related degree or qualification.
You need experience using Service Desk (ServiceNow) ticketing tool and understand Service Management best practices.
You need to be able to effectively communicate and support VIPs, Senior Management and Board members in pressured environments
