They are growing rapidly and are now looking to hire an experienced Operations Lead to be responsible for overseeing and coordinating engineering activity at their London data centre. Early in their expansion, it is an exciting time to be joining, with plenty of opportunity for career growth for the successful candidate.
Key responsibilities:
Leading and supervising a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
Planning, scheduling and prioritising maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems.
Implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures in compliance with regulation.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams (inc. facilities mgmt, IT operations and security) to optimise data centre operations.
Managing vendor relationships and contracts for equipment procurement, maintenance services and technical support.
Maintaining technical documentation with the data centre relating to SOP/EOP/MOPs, electrical safety rules and risk assessments
Participating in capacity planning and expansion projects to support growth of the data centre infrastructure.
Acting as company HVAP.
Acting as 1st point of escalation for all incidents and issues.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Deep experience in data centre operations.
Previous experience leading operations and technical teams in a data centre environment.
Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure (across power, cooling, security, and network systems).
Data centre related project management experience
Electrical engineering qualifications and background.
