Accounts Assistant

Newcastle Upon Tyne

Reed Accountancy is delighted to be working with a well-established client in North Tyneside in their search for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their close-knit team. The role will initially involve the management of their purchase ledger function but will evolve over time to include more varied duties and responsibilities as outlined below.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

•    Daily maintenance of Debtors and Creditors ledger

•    Intercompany reconciliations and agreement

•    Credit Control including order release, review of sales orders going forwards to monitor credit exposure and proactive engagement with customers to ensure payments are made on a timely basis

•    Booking of purchase invoices

•    Reconciliation of Supplier Statements to Ledger

•    Monthly reconciliations of Debtors and Creditors accounts

•    Assist with year-end Audit.

•    Processing Expense Claims

You will have:

•    At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role (Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger/Sales Ledger)

•   Excellent numerical skills

•   Excellent IT Skills

•   Experience using SAP (desirable but not essential)

•   Great communication skills both verbally and written

•   Team player but also able to work well independently

Package:

•   Salary: £26,000- £28,0000 per annum

•   Core Hours: 8am – 4:30am Mon to Thursday and 8am – 1pm Friday (flexi time is available)

•   Role is based fully on-site
