Job Description: We are advertising on behalf of our client, a highly respected local business seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead their team and drive the business forward. The ideal candidate will ideally have a strong background in the motor garage industry (other industries will be considered), with proven leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service. Reporting directly to the Owner, the General Manager will oversee all aspects of our operations, including:
Managing day-to-day operations of the garage, ensuring efficiency and quality service delivery.
Leading and motivating a team of technicians, mechanics, and support staff to achieve excellence.
Developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and profitability.
Maintaining high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Building and maintaining relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Handling administrative tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and inventory management.
Monday to Friday (some Saturdays maybe required).
Requirements:
Previous experience in a managerial role within the motor garage industry is desirable but training can be provided.
Proven track record of success in driving business growth and profitability.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
