Job Description A manufacturer of a range of well known consumer chemical brands is currently looking to recruit a Development chemist to their growing team.
With experience in formulating products within the household, consumer care, cosmetics or wider chemical industries and a passion for NPD, the successful applicant will join a small but growing team and will head up the development initiatives of the laboratory function.
Key responsibilities:
Formulation development and product testing assuring that all existing products are at the forefront of current technologies and bringing new innovative product ranges to the market.
Management of a small existing Technical Team, supporting and guiding, where necessary.
Supporting customers with NPD projects.
Management and distribution of MSDS for the entire product range.
Quality Assurance and system management
Work closely with internal teams on development projects.
Technical support and customer engagement.
Skills, experience and qualifications:
At least three years’ experience in a chemical-based role.
Ideally have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or related qualification in Chemistry or a relevant field.
Computer literacy – MS Outlook, Excel, Word.
Excellent communication skills with an ability to interpret limited technical information and completely convey information to others.
A passion for NPD.
A willingness to learn and support the wider business with development and regulatory requirements.
