Picturesque Cheltenham

Cheltenham is a large town in Gloucestershire. Cheltenham resides towards the South-west of England and is on the edge of the Cotswolds. The town has a population of over 115,000 people. Cheltenham is a spa town; mineral springs were discovered in the town in 1716, and since then it has been a popular health and holiday destination.

Cheltenham has been part of Britain's horse racing heritage since 1815. It is the home of Steeplechase horse racing. The Cheltenham Gold Cup takes place each year during the Cheltenham Festival. Cheltenham holds its annual horse racing festival, the Cheltenham festival, each year in March at Cheltenham Racecourse. The popular horse racing event attracts people from all over the UK. It has prize money second only to the Grand National and the best British and Irish competitors compete head to head during the four day event.

There a plenty of employment opportunities within Cheltenham. Due to the many popular visitor attractions, there is a thriving tourism industry within the town. Other industries that provide a wealth of employment opportunities in Cheltenham include the aerospace and electronics industries, to name a few.

Cheltenham is a popular retail hub and is home to a large number of shops. Cheltenham also has a thriving nightlife and there are an abundance of bars, clubs, pubs and restaurants within the town centre.
