UK Salary Map

As we look forward to what 2020 will bring, the last salary review of 2019 hints at some major changes for pay packets across the UK.

Looking at the trend on our site, most average advertised salaries across the UK have gone down comparing December ‘19  to November ‘19.

The North East increased the most, rising from £30,540 to an impressive £33,740, while Wales and London have also seen rises, albeit a more modest £300.

Going the other way, the North West, East Anglia and Yorkshire & Humber all saw decreases in average advertised salaries, with East Anglia seeing the most, a drop of £2,635.

Scotland and the East Midlands also saw a slight downward trend but nothing too major with Scotland going down £562.

Abi Bradshaw, marketing executive at Allthetopbananas.com said: “The latest salaries on offer reveal some of the most drastic changes of the year! With a big increase for the North East and the reverse for East Anglia, these are two areas to keep a close eye on over the next month or so”.
