Data for July shows 8 out of 11 UK regions have seen a rise in their average advertised salary with the South West experiencing the biggest increase.

The three regions that decreased were the North East, East Anglia and Yorkshire & Humber by £978, £525 and £52 respectively. This drop takes the North East salary just below £30k at £29,841.

The biggest salary rise this month was seen in the South West with an increase of £1227 (4.1%). This takes the average advertised salary to £31,446, and with a pre-pandemic salary of £32,000 this strongly suggests the region is stabilising.

Overall, the UK experienced an average advertised salary increase of £468 (1.4%) in the month of July.
