Scarborough is a town in North Yorkshire. It is a seaside town on the North Sea coast. Scarborough has a population of over 50,000 people and is one of the larger settlements within North Yorkshire. The town is a very popular tourist destination and it is the largest seaside resort on the Yorkshire coast.
Scarborough has a prominent fishing industry, as the town is home to a functioning harbour with its own fish market. Scarborough has two cinemas and a wealth of museums including the newly developed Rotunda Museum, which is now a national centre for geology.
