Care Worker - Sheffield We are a healthcare recruitment company based in Stockport. Due to expansion, we are currently recruiting for care workers. At HRGO we offer our employees: . * Great rates of pay * Flexible working * Free or subsidised training where required * 24-hour support * Permanent recruitment options * Various shifts including: days, nights, sleep ins, evening and weekends * Weekly pay Skills/Requirements: * A minimum of 6 Months experience in the UK within the health and social care * An NVQ in health and social care or The Care Certificate would be beneficial * Promoting person centered care and independence * Ability to get on with people of all ages * Patience * Understanding and empathy * Respect * Excellent listening and communication * Ability to work under own initiative and prioritise work load * Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures * Good writing skills in order to complete care plans and reports Responsibilities can include: * Assisting with personal care * Preparing and assisting at meal times * Medication * Domestic duties * Handling of sensitive and confidential information * Providing social/ emotional support * Providing personal assistance which can include: shopping, banking, social activities, school/college etc. The following will be required prior to offering work: * Enhanced DBS certificate (online update service beneficial) * References (to cover 3 years including 1 care reference) * Full employment history back to education, explaining any gaps * Training * Health and safety training * Patient moving and handling training * Infection control * First Aid including BSL * Safeguarding * Medication (dependent on role) * Epilepsy (dependent on role) * Physical Intervention (depending on role) HRGO's application process would include: * Coming into our office to register with us by filling out our forms and completing your work history * A face to face interview * Taking all ID including right to work, proof of address X2, proof of national insurance number and any certificates you may have relevant to the post * On completion of referencing,trainingand aDBS certificate you will attend a ready to work induction. The induction will cover: * HR GOs policies and procedures * Your rights and responsibilities * Provision of ID badge, timesheets and uniform (where required) * We will take your preferences and availability with the view of offering you work immediately More
