Our client is a charity that supports people with a learning disability in the community. They want to demonstrate that people with a learning disability can be leaders in society but they can’t do this without you! They need Support Workers in the Gazeley area to make their vision a reality.

Position: Support Worker
Location: Gazeley
Job type: Permanent (guaranteed hours)
Hours: Full time, Part Time and Relief hours available – up to 39 hours per week
Salary: £9.50 per hour, overtime and sleep-ins available

About the role:

The role of a Support Worker is to ensure the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.

Supporting someone with a learning disability isn’t just personal care; it’s so much more. A Support Worker could be taking the people supported swimming, assisting with the weekly shop, or even helping to administer the right medication.

About You:

You don't need to have worked in supported living before to be a good Support Worker, simply the right attitude, a supportive nature, good communication skills and a great sense of humour is a must.

You'll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is also required.

A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential for this role.
