Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge? Prospero Teaching are recruiting members of staff to work with a client we support in the Northampton area who support children aged 6-18 years old in residential care. The candidate will be required to support the children with their education as a teaching assistant. It is essential that you are comfortable working with behaviour and SEMH as this is a residential provision. The client has asked that candidates be pro active and have a sense of humour as well as passion working with young people - experience working with secondary age children is a distinct advantage.

They are recruiting for four candidates and are hoping to take these candidates on a permanent contract after a short temporary period.

Salary: From £11.00 p.h

Contract: temporary to permanent

Location: Northampton.


Offer care and support to young people in their education
Ensure safety of the young people at all times
Follow policies and procedures of the company
Work within the residential care staff team to ensure young people have outstanding support

Experience with young people - Essential
Excellent work ethic - Essential
NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People - desirable
Children's support experience - desirable
Full UK driving licence would be an advantage
