NVIDIA is like no place you've ever worked.Our Tegra Kernel Software organization needs a Software Security Specialist to lead Security Certifications of a broad portfolio of projects. You'll join us with your true passion for cybersecurity, with proven experience in security standards, assessments and certifications (e.g. FIPS, Common Criteria) to drive new initiatives and improve security of NVIDIA products. The best candidates may also claim a broad knowledge of embedded systems design and development (kernel, operating systems, drivers, APIs, hypervisor based architectures, IP and vehicle networking architectures and protocols, secure boot architecture, security enclave).You'll work closely with chips and SW engineering teams, the Product Security department, third party evaluation labs and evaluation authorities. The role offers broad experience of NVIDIA, a rare opportunity to influence many phases and aspects of Tegra software security design including architecture, development of Security IP, security counter measures, security management, processes and certification requirements. With excellent opportunities for progression, you will be at the forefront of technical core innovation at NVIDIA, in a very fast paced and dynamic environment with some of the best in the industry, contributing to the development of exciting new areas.What you'll be doing:Own schedules and documentation of security assessments and certifications from inception to completion, evaluating the support-software and preparing typical documents such as security targets, threat analyses, development documentation, guidance documentation, definition of formal admission testsFoster close collaboration with evaluation labs and national institutes for data securityLead teammates to minimize certification risks during development, demonstrating your expertise with security analysis of requirements, designs and code, as well as threat modeling and security risk analysis of designsImprove security robustness of software components recommending cybersecurity strategies for our development process and projects, defining relevant development and design guidelines according to ISO 21434, IEC 62443 2-1, ISO / IEC 2700xWhat we need to see:Master in EE/Computer SW/IT/Mathematics/Physics3+ years Secure Systems Engineering or related work experienceCybersecurity specialist with experience in assessments and certifications of product security and a strong background in security concepts and implementation techniquesSolid knowledge of formal definition of secure systems, including security targets according to Common Criteria frameworkKnowledge of hardware virtualization and hypervisors, internals of operating systems, secure boot architecture, security enclave and IP networkingFamiliarity with cryptographic algorithms, their implementation methods and use models within high level protocolsOutstanding intellectual agility, problem solving and logical analysis skillsExcellent communication skills, clear and conciseCommitted, diligent and accountable teammate, with strong desire to learn and createProactive and able to work with minimum of supervision within existing frameworks and established quality processesExcellent organization, time management and task prioritization skillsWays to stand out from the crowd: PhD in EE/Computer SW/IT/Mathematics/Physics5+ years in Security Engineering Certification and Security EngineeringStrong expertise of both FIPS and Common Criteria security evaluation processes and documentation a major plus (NIST CVP certification a +2!)Design experience in IDPS, authentication and authorization, applied cryptography, networking securityExperience of software for complex embedded systems, from architecture spec to qualificationExperience with deployment of security process in software engineering organizationExperience with safety critical software stacks and/or embedded automotive systems in ASPICE and ideally ISO 26262 contextSolid understanding of Linux/QNX internalsThorough knowledge of IP and vehicle networking architectures and protocolsSolid knowledge of various safety and security related standards (ISO 26262, 27000 family, 21434, FIPS/NIST, ISA/IEC-62443, SAE J3061)NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
