Full-time, 1-Year Contract

You will join their welcoming and supportive English department in September 2020. The successful teacher will be expected to teach the KS3, KS4 and KS5 English curriculum with the school offering a long-term post for one year. NQTs are welcome to apply, as are more experienced candidates.
The school is in a lovely part of Bromley. One where there are open, green spaces which surround the school's new, state of the art building and large, free car park for those wishing to commute by car.
The English department is a successful and thriving one, determined to develop students' potential. Close links with the school library and weekly whole-class reading lessons in Years 7 to 9 demonstrate our commitment to instilling a love and appreciation for literature - a commitment which also informs their wide-ranging curriculum offer.
The successful Teacher of English will join a team of dedicated and highly skilled practiotioners who have ensured that recent GCSE results were strong (4+ 82%, 5+ 76%, and 7+ 36%) and A-level results are improving (A*-C 78% (Literature) and 76% (Language)). Schemes of learning are planned by individuals for the department, with this planning often happening on a joint or group basis. The department is a supportive one with a great deal of experience - many teachers are post-holders around the school and opportunities for both subject-specific and more general CPD are on offer.
This school are keen for a Teacher of English to join them who shares their belief that all students can and will achieve to the very best of their ability, both in exam results and in a love of literature. Expectations are high at this school, both of children and of members of staff - if you share those expectations, then please get in touch today.
