Job Description There has never been a better time to join our Trust than now! We run three busy hospital sites at Peterborough, Huntingdon and Stamford and provide outpatient services in two community hospitals in Ely and Doddington. Our 6,000 staff serve a growing population of 750,000 across North Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire. You should be adaptable, flexible, able to demonstrate initiative and possess excellent communication skills. You will be fully involved in both breast screening and symptomatic work. You must be registered with the HCPC. You must hold UK post graduate certificate of Competence in Mammography and have a genuine interest in breast imaging and either completed the Interventional Stereotactic Biopsy course or willing to undertake training. An interest in Health and Safety would be an advantage. As the post will involve some working on a mobile breast screening unit you must hold a current driving licence and be able to travel to locations throughout Cambridgeshire. This position is exempt from the Sex Discrimination Act and is therefore only open to female applicants. If the post you have applied for requires a DBS check or you are an existing member of staff transferring to a role which require a DBS or higher level DBS than currently held, you will be charged for the cost of the check. This payment will be deducted from your first months salary. The cost of the check is currently £50 for an enhanced check and £31 for a standard check. For checks after 1st October this will reduce to £44 for an enhanced check and £27 for a standard check. In submitting an application form, you authorise the Trust to confirm any previous NHS service details via the Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) process should you be appointed. This includes a check with the DBS Update Service where registered. Tier 2 applicants working in healthcare will need to provide a criminal record certificate for them and any dependants from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the 10 years prior to their application.
