Job Description A multi-disciplinary property partnership is looking to recruit a Building Surveyor to provide a full range of Building Surveying services to their varied client base. They have grown to be one of the largest and most respected property consultancy's in the UK with a network of offices across England and Wales. From private landowners to local authorities, pension funds to farmers, their client experience is among the most varied in UK property. Role & Responsibilities: * To assist in generating fees through the management and development of existing and new clients. * To provide a full building surveying service to external clients and in house where required * Carry out Building Surveys of all types of commercial buildings and at times residential properties * Preparation of Schedules of Dilapidations * Project management, contract administration and design for refurbishment projects for commercial premises * Undertaking CDM Co-ordinator role for in-house and external clients. * Providing a full Party Wall etc Act 1996 service to Building and Adjoining owners * Preparation of Schedules of Condition * Advising clients on preventative maintenance and planned maintenance strategy and implementing same. * Investigating and advising client on specific building problems / defects * Fire insurance valuations for commercial buildings and property portfolios * Acting as expert witness in building or property disputes and providing appropriate reports etc * Undertaking DDA access audits Skills & Experience: * MRICS Qualified or working towards chartership * Broad range of experience in professional and project work * Strong communication skills - verbal and written * Ability to demonstrate technical competence. * Current driving license. * Excellent time management skills.
