Job Description Duties and Responsibilities will include: * Reporting directly to the Business Software Consultant, the IT Technician Apprentice will be given ample opportunity to apply learning to real commercial situations and will be fully supported in your studies * Working as part of the software support team predominantly to assist in implementing the Office 365 suite of applications for our growing customer base * Providing telephone and remote support to clients on the Office 365 Cloud based platform and associated products * Initially, this role will involve taking ownership of deployment and troubleshooting activities of Microsoft Office 365 Business Premium to include but not limited to Office Online, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business and SharePoint Online Other responsibilities will include: * Assist in provisioning Microsoft Office 365 Tenants, set up users and apply licences * Provide support to clients and give assistance in setting up Office applications on a variety of hardware environments * Form part of a team of technical professionals providing support for new solutions/projects being implemented, along with support and maintenance of the existing implemented projects * Providing remote, phone and email technical support to clients * Meet and maintain service levels and ensure all incidents and requests are dealt with in accordance with the SLA's/KPIs * Research and keep up to date with current and emerging technologies. * Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department to assist delivery and support of technical solutions to business requirements Knowledge of the following platforms is advantageous but not essential * Microsoft Windows * Apple Mac OSX * Android Devices * IOS Devices We anticipate that this role will evolve as the product technologies change and envisage that the successful candidate will need to be able to adapt to emerging technology including applications such as Azure, Power Suite etc Requirements and prospects Desired skills * Familiarity with Office 365 * Good at problem solving * Excellent communication skills * Tech savvy, with a desire to grow and impress the business * Providing on-site, remote, phone and email technical support to clients * Microsoft desktop operating systems and applications Personal qualities * Highly Self-motivated * Trustworthy and reliable * Good team worker * Confident individual who can cope with the changing priorities of a growing business, with a can-do attitude Desired qualifications * GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent or above in English and mathematics and ICT Future prospects * Permanent IT role is a very realistic prospect for the right candidate Things to consider * The company is based in Rainton Bridge - can youget there? * This is not a shadowing role; you will be responsible for a crucial business function.
