Job Description Assistant Guest Services Manager What we need in a nutshell We want you to make our guests feel personally welcomed, cared for, and inspired to have their best holiday ever, from the moment they check in to the moment they leave. Some of the background We're not your average holiday company. Our guests come to our UK resorts to experience a world away from their day-to-day. When they are with us, they play crazy games, enjoy show-stopping entertainment and live in the moment. Our job is to surprise and delight them at every turn. As Assistant Guest Services Manager, we need you to be the person who delivers delight when they arrive and check in, whenever they need help and, crucially, when they have a complaint (it's rare, but it happens). What you'll be doing Working as part of our slightly bonkers team of holiday heroes, reporting to the Guest Services Manager you will be Assisting the running of the Guest Services department. This will see you spending lots of your time with guests; meeting and greeting them, checking them in, making holiday bookings, and resolving their complaints so that they walk away with a smile. And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. If you're happy to help even when it's 'not your job,' you're our sort of person. One more thing...holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on evenings, weekends and bank holidays too. Skills, experience and qualities you'll need Supervisory and Customer service skills and experience are a must! Preferably in the hospitality sector. Match that with a confident, outgoing personality, incredible organisation skills and a high degree of resilience under pressure, and you're most of the way there. You will also be comfortable multi-tasking, working as part of a team and solving problems using your own initiative. A key part of your job will be to ensure changeover days are seamless. As well as qualities we've already mentioned, you will have great communication skills, as you will be dealing with different departments and will need to resolve issues, get results and pass on correct information.
