For this post, you should be a competent Maths graduate who has earned at least a 2:2 in your degree and have previous experience supporting children. You must show the ability to transfer your own success driven persona over to your students. You will have the skills to support children by simplifying and breaking down more difficult mathematical concepts into more manageable chunks. You will work through questions strategically with students, giving them the tools to be able to work the answer out themselves. The school needs a graduate who has the ability to inspire their pupils with their love for maths!
About the Role
In this Maths Teaching Assistant position, you will be joining the school in a general role, not assigned to any particular class or department. In general, you will be supporting the learning and development of children in maths across the school and planning and assisting in lessons with the teacher. You will have an excellent chance to guide small groups of pupils of both high and low ability, to achieve their academic targets.
