The post holder will have the advantage of regular daytime hours and 13 weeks holiday per annum as the post is to work during school term time and training days (39 weeks of the year). Exact daily hours of work are negotiable but it is anticipated that the daily hours would be 8am - 2pm (Mon - Fri), with the addition of two afternoon sessions (until 3.30pm) a week to include educational work with classes. This will enable up to 3 hours a week working alongside teachers in classrooms to promote children’s knowledge and understanding of nutrition and food preparation as part of their learning about well-being and keeping healthy.
This role is Monday to Friday for a total of 33 hours a week and only over 39 weeks per annum. You will not be require to work during school holiday periods (13 weeks per annum). Hours are 30 hours a week (£21,400 - £23,793 pro rata) as chef at Grade 6 (points 1 - 4) and 3 hours a week at Grade 4 (£18,360 - £19,477 pro rata)making a total of 33 hours a week.
The salary range available to the successful candidate is a combination of 30 hours at Grade 6 (School Chef) coupled with a 3 hour Grade 4 post (Teaching Assistant).
