An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of the Practice Development team, based at our Bradford Hospice. The role involves supporting the clinical workforce to have the knowledge and skills to deliver the Marie Curie Strategic Plan through the provision of excellent person-centred palliative and end of life care for patients and their families with terminal illnesses.
Reporting to the Practice Development Lead, you will provide continuous development to staff, enabling them to deliver excellent care in line with people’s individual preferences and seeking to improve their outcomes and experience. You will facilitate and deliver clinical education and staff development to an agreed programme of national and local priorities, including a drive towards person centre care ensuring engagement with service users as well as Marie Curie Managers when planning, implementing and evaluating workforce development plans.
Focus on education and development through work based learning and support in a clinical workplace, or practice environment. In conjunction with local teams providing tools and support needed to empower them to develop their own practice, will be key.
This post in a national role. Whilst based at Bradford Hospice there will be travel involved across the UK. You will also contribute to the development of new training materials and the ongoing review of existing resources, ensuring they meet the required learning objectives and outcomes.
A confident communicator and an ablility to movitate others will be key to establishing and maintaining key relationships with local universities and NHS Trusts in order to develop a portfolio of resources for the region.
