Mechanical Project Manager – Permanent – Midlands with London travel – circa £50,000
AndersElite are recruiting for a Mechanical Project Manager for a national building services contractor, based on a large mechanical only residential project in West London.
This is a permanent position, available ASAP (January 2019 onwards) and will offer a salary, depending on experience of approximately £50,000 per annum plus benefits, including company car or package.
Our client is well established in the UK building services market, so this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to be part of a developing team and thriving business.
Reporting into the regional Operations Manager, the selected candidate will be required to oversee mechanical services installations on new build and refurbishment projects, usually in the commercial, residential, industrial, education and healthcare sectors.
Typical projects will range from £1m up to £5m in mechanical services value, so applicants should have proven experience as the overall mechanical lead on projects of this size in relevant building environments.
The first work location is West London, on a £4.5m mechanical only residential project, which is due for completion in June 2020.
Applicants must be prepared to based in London for the duration of the first project. The client company are able to fund lodgings, company car package and train travel to support this.
The Mechanical Project Manager will be fully responsible for the running of the site from inception through to completion, assisting on design and project planning, overseeing site installation, as well as all cost control and commercial management. This is a number 1 role, managing two existing site managers overseeing subcontractors carrying out the full mechanical range of works.
This position is available from January 2019, with applications welcome from candidates who are either immediately available or serving a notice period with their current employer.
It is advantageous for candidates to possess a degree / HNC in Building Services or any other technical qualifications, including SMSTS / CSCS for site management, although all applicants will be judged primarily on their previous experience.
