An opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Manager at a Mental Health service in Lambeth, who has the ability to co-manage a strong team of Support Workers who positively impact the lives of the people we support.
You will be a confident leader and team manager, with the ability to motivate and develop your staff to deliver person centered, recovery focused support.
As part of the role as a Deputy Manager, you will be involved in all areas of people management such as setting expectations and monitoring performance, giving great One to One Meetings and Annual Reviews to ensure staff are demonstrating the skills and attitude needed, maintain their motivation and develop in their future career. As well as this you will be supporting the individuals with managing activities, daily living tasks, such as cooking, shopping, meal-planning; all the time promoting their independent living.
You will be supporting people with a wide range of mental health support needs; therefore it is essential that you have experience of supporting people with challenging behavior.
Building relationships with the people we support and their families is a great element to this role. With that in mind, being able to demonstrate your knowledge of person centered working & developing person centered support plans with individuals is important.
Your hours of work will be 37.5 hours on a flexible shift rota – mornigs, evenings, weekends, and sleep ins.
