A trainee clerical assistant provides support to the clerical and administrative teams. You will be an 'all-rounder' and required to tackle a broad spectrum of basic administrative tasks.

You can work in any business throughout industry but the role can vary greatly depending on the sector.
Where and when can I work?
You will be based in an office and work standard office hours of 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. If there is a specific project to assist with, this may require overtime.
What can I earn?
Starting salaries are around £12,000 but this will increase with experience and responsibility. A fully-trained clerical assistant can earn upwards of £15,000.

What will I be responsible for?
You will be asked to assist with a vast range of basic tasks across the company including filing, photocopying, answering the telephone, diary management and letter writing.
Do I need any experience?
Strong GCSE or A-Level grades are preferable along with experience of an office environment. However, a willingness to learn and enthusiasm is a more important attribute of a trainee.
What attributes are needed?
Good computer skills along with strong written, verbal and numerical skills. You will need to be a confident communicator and happy to handle all aspects of a trainee administrative role – even the less interesting ones!
