Investment Associate - Family Office
Introduction
Founded in 2016, my client is an independent, London based, Private Investment Office that manage over £1bn in assets for families and institutions.
The firm provides their clients with highly customised advice which diversifies their portfolios across Credit, Equities, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Property, and uncorrelated strategies. With the help of their network, shareholders, and clients, the business are fortunate to have access to many of the top performing (often hard-closed) managers in each of those areas.
The role
Investment Associate role includes the following responsibilities:
Supporting the CIO with new due diligence projects and refreshing coverage of current external managers across asset classes (credit, equity, absolute return, private equity, real estate, venture capital).
Supporting the CIO with macro-economic analysis to drive thinking around portfolio construction and rebalancing.
Assisting with client portfolio management, including ongoing review and maintenance of portfolios within investment guidelines.
Prepare materials for client meetings (e.g. quarterly performance reports).
Operational support where required (e.g. checking statements, reconciliation of performance across internal and external systems)
General client service – assisting portfolio managers in strengthening client relationship
The individual will have the following skill set:
Strong academic background, up to degree level
2 to 5 years of work experience in a relevant field – e.g. a (multi) family office, endowment fund, asset manager, or a strategy consultant with project experience in financial services
Must have a minimum A-level qualification in mathematics or have done a quantitative degree
Knowledge of and interest in financial markets
Professional qualifications or a desire to study towards obtaining the IMC / CFA / CAIA
