Support Worker for young person – KINGSTON KT2

Full time position 37+ hours /week

£18-£20/hour

An exciting opportunity is available to join a team in caring for 17-year-old young lady with physical and learning disabilities.

The ideal candidate will be compassionate, professional and committed to providing high quality care in accordance with CQC standards.

Due to the personal nature of the role, female applicant need only apply.

The Client

The Client is a 17-year-old female who has a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy, is a wheelchair user and a non-verbal communicator.

Full support is required to assist the client to carry out daily activities, attend to clinical needs, meet physical therapy goals, and engage in socialising and hobbies.

The Role

The candidate will be required to provide 2:1 care on daytime shifts, and 1:1 care overnight.

The candidate will be required to follow care plans and therapists’ guidance, and work in a family centred way.

Manual handling, medication administration, enteral feeding, personal care, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment are some of the skills involved in this role.

Skills Required

Experience working with young people with additional health and learning needs.

Excellent communication skills and team working.

Reliable, punctual, professional and friendly.

Experience with manual handling, personal care, medicine administration and enteral feeding. Training will be provided.

Must be fluent in English - both written and verbal.

Must have a satisfactory DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK. (*We do not offer sponsorship)

Full UK Driving license preferred.
